San Francisco Chronicle on “Colored Rooms”

My exhibit Colored Rooms was featured in SF Gate today.

I designed this exhibit: a house where half the rooms are white with colored light, and half are colored with white light.

When I made this I’d heard from Richard Brown that people can reference color quite well from looking at their own skin: so I designed this house where half the rooms are white with colored light, and half are colored with white light. -People can then reach inside the rooms with their hands, and compare what their skin looks like in the adjacent rooms.

In the bottom floor an electrical train goes from room to room when visitors activate it, and kids can watch the colors of the train cars shift as the train travels throughout the exhibit.
